Invitation Course: Hacking and SUP
This is an invitation for the combination course Hacking and SUP.
Detecting network attacks and use hacking tools for scanning.
The content will be two sided:
- Learn about detecting network attacks using Suricata IDS engine, Zeek Security Monitor
- Learn about hacking tools used for scanning and blue team protection - in a fun hacker workshop
The day will finish off with SUP around Amager Strandpark and chilling out.
Target group: Anyone interested in learning more about detecting network attacks and scanning network infrastructures. You want to get started in network security. You are planning to buy an IDS but want to know more about what is possible, and whats possible using Open Source.
Linux is used for labs, but no pre-requisite Linux knowledge is needed.
Outcome - you will have a much better understanding of network security, having seen and carried out scanning and attacks, while detecting them.

Time Schedule:
- 08:00 Meetup
- Workshop 1: Detecting attacks using Suricata IDS and Zeek Security Monitor
- 12:00 Lunch
- Workshop 2: Scanning and attacking you infrastructure
- 16:00 Finish up hacking part
Teaching will end around 16:00 and participants will have the option to chill, network and try SUP Stand up paddleboarding around Amager Strandpark.
Day will end about 18:30
Price including lunch and SUP board 5.120kr - 20% discount if you register and pay before May 27.

- Suricata, Zeek, DNS existing workshop
- Hacker workshop will be based on Nmap portscanner used for good, and other tools. About 50% will be from Nmap Workshop The rest will be from my other Pentest courses
All content is tested and tried.
What to bring
Don’t forget your bathing suit, towel and sunscreen.
You need to bring a laptop with virtualisation software. Each team of 2 persons needs at least one Kali virtual machine and one Debian 9 Stretch virtual machine.
Minimal resources for each VM: 2Gb memory, 1 CPU 20Gb disk. Better 4Gb ram, 2-4 CPU 30Gb disk.
Network built will be using Ethernet, and each team will use a switch and 2 USB Ethernet adapters provided by the instructor.

Training materials are Open Source
Using presentation material written by Zencurity Aps we can give out the training materials and you may both share and re-use it.

We enjoy working with open source, and our materials are released as open source for our customers and everyone else.

Materials are mostly produced in english, and presented in danish or english.
